Playing it Safe!
We are excited for old-fashioned in-person camps, and as always our camper safety is of utmost importance! As the world is reopening with teachers getting vaccinated, we have a very robust and fun plan for in-person, small group programs.
Our in-person camps will be hosted at our fully furnished classroom in Cubberley Community Center in the heart of Palo Alto.
We will be monitoring and following all covid-19 safety protocols as set forth by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department
BrainVyne Camps Covid-19 Safety Plan
1. Family Waivers
Every family attending our camps is required to complete a waiver so we are able to maintain the safety of the in-person cohort. This includes attesting to not interacting in multiple camps, disclosing any travel outside the state of California and being actively engaged and available to partake in all safety protocols when your child is attending our programs.
2. Staff Screening
We anticipate all our staff to be vaccinated before the start of our spring/summer camp season. If due to vaccine availability if we have any staff that are not vaccinated we will have them test and prove covid negative before they interact with out campers.
3. Camper Screening + Check-In Protocol
Every day parents will be required to complete a text survey to validate they are sending in a child who is healthy. At check in campers must arrive in well-fitted masks. They will hand sanitize and enter the classroom. Parents are not allowed to enter the classroom, all check in and check out of campers will happen in a socially distanced manner.
4. Camper Cohorts + LEGO Supplies
Every camper will have their own LEGO Kit, booklets, craft supplies and a dedicated station. Both staff and Campers are required to wear masks at all times. Desks and high contact surfaces will be sanitized daily and the classroom deep cleaned between cohorts of students. We have adequate LEGO supplies that the LEGO will have a 7 day isolation period between cohorts.
5. Contact Reduction
Staff and campers will wear masks at all times except during eating or drinking. We will have extra masks for our campers to use. The classroom will be clearly marked with areas for students to stay socially distanced. Lunch and recess will be outdoors where students will be socially distanced and closely supervised. There will be routine hand washing between transitions.
6. Safe Outdoor Activities
Any sports activities our campers engage in will require mask wearing unless the activity is socially-distanced.
7. Hand Washing
Our classroom has access to restrooms that are stocked with high quality hand soap since we are renters from the City of Palo Alto. We will also be using hospital grade hand sanitizers that the students will need to use after hand washing.
8. Supplies + Classroom Sanitizing
High contact surfaces will be sanitized on a daily basis. We have adequate LEGO supplies that the LEGO will have a 7 day isolation period between cohorts. Classroom will be deep cleaned and sanitized between cohorts.
